2013 – Tifany Dang

The Port Credit Alumni Association is pleased to announce that the 2013 recipient of our $750 award for a student going on to University is Tiffany Dang.

Tiffany had a distinguished career at Port Credit, not only in academics where she earned several awards, but also in the incredible number of clubs and sports activities in which she participated.

Believing in a sharp mind and healthy body, Tiffany organized sessions on healthy eating and also organized lunch and learn sessions on the dangers of smoking. Last summer, Tiffany even went to Quebec to take intensive French lessons to improve her French Language skills.

In the fall, Tiffany is going into a Science program at University with the goal of getting into a medical program afterwards.

2013 – Victoria Ikeno

The Port Credit Alumni Association is pleased to announce that the 2013 recipient of our $750 award for a student going to College is Victoria Ikeno.

Vicky has been involved in many activities during her years at Port Credit.

These activities have always involved helping others, whether it involved helping younger children in after school programs or raising money to help provide clean drinking water for children around the world.

In the fall, Vicky continues her goal of helping others by going to Loyalist College to take the Social Service Worker program.

2013 – Sarah Waljii

Terry Garbutt Memorial Award

The Port Credit Alumni Association is pleased to announce that the 2013 recipient of our $750 award for the Terry Garbutt Memorial Award is Sarah Walji.

In addition to her involvement in an amazing number of activities in the school as part of her Science and Technology program, Sarah distinguished herself by showing a great variety of skills and leadership traits in raising both awareness and money for organizations to provide wells for clean drinking water in developing countries and to raise money to provide food for needy families. In the fall, Sarah continues her plans to help people by entering the Nursing program at University.
