The PCSS Video Library

Welcome to the PCSS online video library! While searching through the school's archives, we discovered among the yearbooks and photos, a number of video cassettes. A couple of these tapes contained some PCSS teacher interviews from 1985. I had heard that video tapes have a limited shelf life and deteriorate after 10-15 years, so I must admit I was very pleased to discover that these tapes, after 24 years, were not only playable, but were also in very good condition! Admittedly there were a few sections that were a bit garbled, but overall, I was able to view more than 95% of the material on them.

We are currently in the process of extracting, digitizing, organizing, editing and re-encoding these interviews. This is a rather labourious process, so instead of waiting until everything is done, we're going to add each interview clip to this web site as soon as it's complete. So please bookmark this page and check back regularly!
