2014 Scholarship Winner - Farah Hasan
The Port Credit Alumni Association is pleased to announce that the 2014 recipient of our $750 award for a student going on to University is Farah Hasan.
Farah was President of the Sci-Tech Council, and a gold medalist in the Peel and Ontario Technological Skills Competition - Prepared Speech Category and an executive organizer of the Junior Solar Car Competition.
On the community and volunteer side of her activities, Farah was a Duke of Edinburgh Award recipient, a volunteer with the Trillium Health Centre and an organizer and volunteer with the Meadowvale Community Dance Centre.
Farah's passion is to use her knowledge to benefit the disadvantaged in society. Her educational goals are to attend medical school and pursue a career in pediatrics, genetics or neurology. Farah will be at Mcmaster University in the fall of 2014.
The Alumni Association wishes Farah all the best in her future endeavours.
