The PCHS/PCSS Alumni Scholarship Program was created in 2001 and at that time donated $500.00 to an outstanding PCSS graduate. Thanks to the generous donations from PCHS and PCSS alumni at our annual alumni nights, we now award three scholarships of $750.00 each to outstanding students. Two scholarships honour University and/or College-bound students, and a third scholarship is presented in honour of Terry Garbutt, the founding member of the Alumni Association and recognizes a current graduating student's initiative, innovation and leadership within the school and community.

Terry Garbutt Memorial Award

Terry Garbutt: Alumni Association founder

This Award is given in remembrance of Terry Garbutt, who attended Port Credit Secondary School in the late fifties. Terry founded the PCSS Alumni Association in 2001, and during his tenure from 2001-2009, organized the annual Alumni Nights that are held each May. The Terry Garbutt scholarship recognizes a current graduating student's initiative, innovation and leadership within the school and community.

The Sci-Tech Award - 2009-2011

PCSS SciTech Programme In September 2005, Port Credit Secondary School launched a Regional SciTech Program as an exciting option for students with a keen interest in science and technology. Students follow an integrated curriculum of science and technology throughout the four-year programme. Technology is integrated with other aspects of the curriculum in the senior grades. The PCHS/PCSS Alumni Association honoured SciTech students from 2009 to 2011.

Fred Ketchen, PCHS 1954, now supports this scholarship that started in 2012.
