2015 – Molly Cowls

The Port Credit Alumni Association is pleased to announce that the 2015 recipient of our $750 award for a student going on to University is Molly Cowls.

In addition to her excellent marks, Molly has demonstrated her leadership in the Regional Strings Program, and has spent many volunteer hours with the St. Andrews Memorial Presbyterian Church and the Free the Children program in Ecuador.

Molly says that she wants to be remembered at PCSS as the student who welcomed new students into PCSS and made them feel welcomed at PCSS. Going forward, Molly’s ambition is to improve health care in the developing world.

The Alumni Association wishes Molly all the best in her future endeavours. We know that Molly will represent PCSS well.

2015 – Shanice Hibbert

This year’s $750 Alumni College-Bound Scholarship Recipient is Shanice Hibbert. In addition to her excellent marks, Shanice has demonstrated her leadership abilities with the ELL Club helping students with English language acquisition and was a Peel mentor and School Ambassador. Shanice volunteered with the Tiny Treasure daycare program.

Shanice is attending Humber College take Arts and Science, looking to go into mid-wifery or nursing in the future

2015 – Rugaiyah Baksh

Terry Garbutt Memorial Award

The 2015 $750 Alumni Terry Garbutt “Leading Through Innovation” Award Recipient is Ruqaiyah Baksh.

Ruqaiyah leads by the motto: “If not me, who? If not now, when?” To this end Ruqaiyah is proud of her efforts, in addition to that as Student Council President, in starting up the DECA (Business class oriented) program at PCSS and bringing back the Semi-Formal Dance to the school.

The PCSS Alumni Association wishes Ruqaiyah all the best in her future endeavours. We know that Ruqaiyah will represent PCSS well.
