PCSS ARCHIVES

FromTheArchives_F2_1

Port Credit Secondary School is the oldest high school in south Peel, and has a rich 96-year history. The PCSS Alumni Association is trying to capture and preserve as much of its history as possible. The archival material available on this web site is what we were able to borrow from the school. However, a great deal of our past lies in the dens, bookcases and basements of our graduates. We’re always eager to add more items, and make your trip down Memory Lane more enjoyable.

A Request For Archival Material

We’re looking for PCSS packrats! If you’ve saved any items from your high school days which you feel would make a worthwhile addition to this web site – photographs, music concert programmes, school newspapers, local newspaper articles about our school etc. – then please contact us so that we can make arrangements to borrow and digitize them. We will treat your submissions with the utmost care, and return them to you in the same condition.

There is now an Alumni Association display case in the school, located in the hallway near the auditorium. If you have any physical artifacts from PCHS/PCSS that you would like included in the display case, please contact us. The contents of the display case are rotated every three months.

In addition to this display case our Physical Memorabilia Archivist Gord Hatten will be on hand at every Alumni Night in May to display many artifacts and memorabilia he has collected over the years. These displays are outstanding and change every year. If you have something you would like to donate, bring it along. Gord would be pleased to talk to you about it, and add it to his massive collection.

If you have anything to contribute, please email Archives with some details as to what you have and how we can obtain it. Thanks!
